“In May, every flower is a soul blossoming in nature”- Unknown
May is here! (I write this at the end of April when the glorious sunny weather has faded, just in time for Easter!) May you have a good month and enjoy the bank holidays – pun intended!
I am sure those who read the Easter blog and had a go at the quiz will be keen for the answers so here they are. You might need to check my previous blog if you are unsure which question matches to which answer-
- Mopsy
- A Pocket Watch
- Watership Down
- It’s Rabbit!
- The Velveteen Rabbit
I hope you enjoyed that. It is all good fun.
I have chosen the above quote because flowers do have their own “soul” and are “blossoming” in their own ways. It is a lovely reminder that we should protect flowers, and admire their beauty from a distance. I walked along the river this week, and enjoyed seeing the rainbow of different flowers along the bank. Nature continues to inspire a writer all through the year.
Now, I have a new literature puzzle to fill your May bank holiday. As a young writer, I read many books and love the classics. I thought it would be fun to give you ten classics titles, and you have to work out what they are. It is a fill in the blank puzzle. I have made it a little challenging, so you will hopefully spend some time thinking about the answers. Again, like the April quiz, it is just for fun and I will share the answers in the first June blog. I will be reviewing a fantastic book that I am studying, in the second May blog.
The ten classics titles are-
- W_ _ _ er _ _ _ / _ _ i _ _ ts
- _ ob _ / _ _ _ k
- _ o/ _ _ ll / _ / _ oc _ _ _ g _ _ r _
- _ _ n _ / E _ r _
- _ h _ / _ _ _ e/ _ _ ch _ _ _
- _ a _/ _ a _/ _ ea _ _
- _ le _ _/ _ o _ _ e
- _ ra _ _ _ a
- _ r _ at/ _ x _ _ c _ _ t _ _ _ s
- P _ _ _ u _ _ i _ n
I hope you enjoy decoding these books. Three things I will say to help you, is remember that these are all literature classics, the individual lines represent the blank letters and the dash represents the space between words. For example, as this is not one of them, Pride/ and/ Prejudice. Have an enjoyable May and I hope it is filled with literature and writing.
